June 1 2006 - Gaming - Not just for kids

Andrew Hayes, expert gamer and vice president of the The Tokyo PC Users Group, will lead a discussion on computer games covering many aspects and genres of this pastime including trends, latest releases, future developments and hardware. The session will review predominately PC-based games but also include console games. Several gaming machines will be available for solo-play or networked head-to-head.

Such luminary titles as F.E.A.R., Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2:Special Forces, UFO:Aftershock, X3:The Reunion, The Sims 2, Quake 4, The Bards Tale, and others - such as online Javascript-based games.

If you’re a gamer with a favourite game, why not bring along your box and show us? There’ll also be an opportunity to discuss tips and strategies, hardware matters such as SLi and Dual Core, and a limited number of free DVDs with demo versions of recent or upcoming games, plus a chance to win a copy of Quake 4:Special Edition for the PC and other prizes.

The new hands-on PC Help Desk will run concurrently.
