If you’ve spent weeks or months creating your website, you want to make sure that it can be viewed, and that people will find it. SEO is the knack of persuading search engines to index your homepage higher than millions of others. As your site floats closer to the top of the search you’ll begin to see your site hits increase.
Terry will demonstrate SEO techniques using Hugh Burns Jazz site. Burns’ site is currently #1 in Google for certain keywords. As you learn how you can reuse these techniques on your own web pages, you’ll also learn how to prevent the spam bot from harvesting email addresses from your site. Terry will show you how to mask your email address from spam harvesters, reducing the annoying messages dramatically. Finally, see how to use CSS for page layout and learn why that’s important.
