Akihabara
Sampling Trip (Sunday, December 7):
by Sigi Rindler
Well, since there is an "official" Akihabara field trip coming up in exactly
one week, I needed to prepare myself with the new situation after being out of touch for
more than a month. I'm pretty sure that there are a number of guys in the TPC who deserve
the "Mr. Akihabara" title much more than I do.
Ionic Column -- January 1998
by David Parry on Memory problems, Pagemaker glitches, Jaz drives and Win98.
TTC (This and That and Computers)
by Kurt Keller
The AJ has got another foreign correspondent, and also this one is living in a (mainly)
German speaking country.
As some of you might know, I've left Japan (PINBOARD continues to exist in Japan) in
August, moving to Switzerland. Still working in the computer business, of course; now
hacking Unix on some big machines.
A Micron Away from a Gateway Shipment
by Kevin Ryan
The fatherly wisdom went something like this, make a mistake once, that's an education.
Make the same mistake twice, that's stupidity. Don't tell Dad, but Gateway has proven me
stupid, but not after months of hard work and waiting. I'm writing this article to give
some insights on the mail-order business for computers.
The Midnight Writer -- January 1998
by Mike Lloret
Happy New Year!
Here's hoping that the Year of the Tiger will bring you all health, wealth, excitement,
and happiness. Looking at last January's column, I see that I very sensibly refrained from
making any resolutions. Oddly enough, I have ended up doing some of the things that I had
resolved to do in the previous year(s). Mostly because I had no other choice, of course.
Prez Sez -- January 1998
A Message From President Pat Hughes
Happy New Year!
A new year begins and I wish everyone the best in 1998!
I am still recovering from moving to a new company with new responsibilities and
opportunities and also moving to a new home.
