Well, since there is an "official" Akihabara field trip coming up in exactly one week, I needed to prepare myself with the new situation after being out of touch for more than a month. I'm pretty sure that there are a number of guys in the TPC who deserve the "Mr. Akihabara" title much more than I do.

As some of you might know, I've left Japan (PINBOARD continues to exist in Japan) in August, moving to Switzerland. Still working in the computer business, of course; now hacking Unix on some big machines.

Looking at last January's column, I see that I very sensibly refrained from making any resolutions. Oddly enough, I have ended up doing some of the things that I had resolved to do in the previous year(s). Mostly because I had no other choice, of course.
