Members can use a form to supply details for an opt-in membership directory. When submitting the membership information update form, users have the option of allowing name, mailing address, URL, and interest information to be published in the directory. PasswordsInformation on how to access the members only newsgroups can be obtained by mailing access@tokyopc.org or by checking with any of the club officers. CookiesThe much maligned cookies are used in some places on the TPC website to allow your machine to provide consistent session information. They are not used for tracking individual site accesses. Cookies are required for proper functioning of some portions of the site, such as managing your mailing list subscriptions. Newsgroup ArchivesMessages posted to the various newsgroups and associated mailing lists are typically archived for varying length of times depending on operating concerns (like disk space and speed) and the appropriateness of the message for the forum it appears in. Club execs and system administrators do have the ability to "cancel" messages to remove them from the public archives. The group is not responsible for the content of messages posted. PrivacyMembers taking advantage of the Email forwarding service should be aware that as with nearly all Internet mail services, there can be no guarantee of complete privacy of message contents or addressee information. In the course of trouble-shooting, system operators have the ability to read any message passing through the system.
